Privacy & Cookie Policy
This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you visit our websites or contact us to book a stay or an experience. It applies to Amani Home, Villa Kokos and Amani Experiences, all part of the Amani Zanzibar Collection at amanizanzibarcollection.com.

1. Who we are

2. What data we collect
Our websites have no contact forms and no user accounts. We only receive personal data when you choose to contact us, and in the technical logs needed to deliver the website.
Data you send us
When you write to us on WhatsApp, by email or by phone, we receive the data you choose to share, for example:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- travel dates, number of guests and the ages of children travelling;
- the stay, transfer, tour or safari you are interested in;
- flight details for airport pick-ups;
- preferences and special requests, such as dietary needs you decide to tell us about.
When you book, we may also need the details required to confirm and invoice your stay, and the identity document details that local regulations require us to record for guests.
Technical data
When you visit the website, your browser sends technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This data is processed by our hosting provider to deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse. We do not use it to identify or profile you.
Visit statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how fast our pages load. It is a privacy-first tool: it sets no cookies, does not store your IP address, does not track you across other websites and only gives us aggregated figures, such as the number of visits per page and the country of origin.

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising and we do not send newsletters. If you share dietary or health-related needs, we use them only to prepare your meals or activities safely, and only with your consent (Art. 9(2)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
5. International transfers
Our properties and services are in Tanzania, so data needed for your stay is processed there. Some of our providers, such as Cloudflare, Meta and Microsoft, may process data in the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area. These transfers are covered by the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Transfers to Tanzania take place because they are necessary to provide the stay or service you requested (Art. 49(1)(b)).
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 24 months, so we can pick up the conversation if you write again.
- Booking, invoicing and guest registration data: for as long as tax, accounting and local regulations require.
- Technical website logs: for the short period set by our hosting provider for security purposes.
Messages on WhatsApp also remain in your own WhatsApp account, and you can delete them at any time.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your personal data and receive a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted, when we no longer need to keep it;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, write to info@amani-home.com. We will reply within one month.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or the authority of the country where you live.
9. Links to other sites
Our pages contain links to WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. When you follow these links, the privacy policy of the site you visit applies, and those services may set their own cookies. We have no control over their processing.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The latest version is always on this page, with its date at the top.
